  • What do we do?
    We host financial literacy workshops discussing a wide range of topics to help our members understand their money and get better with their personal finances. We also offer free financial planning services to qualifying members.
  • Who do we help?
    All are welcome to attend our financial literacy workshops. However, to qualify for free financial planning services you must be a: Single parent. Individual new to Canada. Individual suffering from a disability or the primary care giver of an individual with a disability. Or belong to a low-income household. Please note that these are simply guidelines and the rules are very lenient. Please do not hesitate to ask us questions about your individual financial situation.
  • Where are the workshops held?
    Currently, due to COVID-19, the workshops are being held on Zoom. However, when it is safe to do so, we will be hosting in-person workshops in multiple locations in Surrey such as Surrey City Hall or South Surrey Recreation Center.
  • How do I keep up to date with seminar dates, times, and locations?"
    All announcements will be made on our instagram page as well as through our monthly newsletter. Follow us on Instagram or ask to join our email list!
  • Who runs the workshops and does the financial planning?
    Seva Financial Foundation workshops are facilitated by either our founder, Gurtej Varn BA, CFP® or other qualified professionals such as lawyers, accountants, immigration consultants, and more. The one on one Financial Planning is done by Gurtej Varn BA, CFP® or other qualified volunteers.
